When I was about seven years old, I was at a Girl Scouts meeting that I didn't even want to go to. We were doing an exercise to demonstrate memory, politeness, and people skills by each taking turns being a "waitress" taking the other girls' orders and then serving them plastic food specific to their demands. I messed up everybody's order and all the girls got mad at me and laughed as they pelted me with plastic food. Even my mom laughed at me. And if I had to describe my life now, I'd say that day at Girl Scouts would be foreshadowing how I was going to feel everyday afterwards for the next 14 years... So, yeah. Hey, where are you going?! Come back!
Myself and five other people decided it would be a good idea to walk from West Duluth up to Enger Tower at about 9 pm. There was a lot of unnecessary uphill walking and regret. But it was the adventure we were expecting, and the view at the top of Enger was well worth all the sweating, labored breathing, and sore feet/thighs. After the five hour round trip, I crashed the second my head hit the pillow.
However, I got only 3 hours of sleep, and overslept my alarm to make it to work this morning… Hooray for waking up and heading out the door to work wearing stained sweatpants and the sweaty Breaking Bad shirt that I wore last night. Literally no fucks will be given today. Not a one.
