When I was about seven years old, I was at a Girl Scouts meeting that I didn't even want to go to. We were doing an exercise to demonstrate memory, politeness, and people skills by each taking turns being a "waitress" taking the other girls' orders and then serving them plastic food specific to their demands. I messed up everybody's order and all the girls got mad at me and laughed as they pelted me with plastic food. Even my mom laughed at me. And if I had to describe my life now, I'd say that day at Girl Scouts would be foreshadowing how I was going to feel everyday afterwards for the next 14 years... So, yeah. Hey, where are you going?! Come back!
Pictures from last night (Feb. 18th, 2012).
Got a tip from someone on Facebook that northern lights were out right as I had gotten into bed. I was, and still am, pretty sick. I happened to be up at about 11:30pm since I had finished applying for some jobs.
Originally I decided to stay in bed, but a split second later I decided I should go out.
In my haste to get out ASAP, I forgot my extra battery. I only got about 10 pictures before my camera died. Luckily I had a car charger so after 20 minutes I snapped some more before it again died, which happened to be when the lights died out just after 1AM.
I have a lens which isn’t the best, and my camera (SONY A230) isn’t great either. I can’t wait until I get a career so I can afford better equipment. All were taken at Brighton Beach (Lake Superior) near Duluth, MN.
(Sorry they are small- Tumblr won’t let me upload if they are bigger. Tumblr is being extremely stupid)
Tumblr apparently is only letting me upload one at a time, so here they are:
Photos from the Aurora Borealis in Duluth, MN around midnight on 3/8/2012.
I got frostbite, but it was definitely one of the most amazing experiences I have ever encountered!!
I checked around Midnight but didn’t see any. :( I would have stayed up and waited, but I had to wake up at 6 this morning…
